Big Dog Needs Good Home
I’m trying to find a good home for Buddy. If you live in the Abilene area and would like a loving (but big) dog (free, of course), please drop me an e-mail. I need to find him a home as soon as possible.
Here are some pictures. They were taken on an overcast day and my camera is terrible; his coat is much glossier and prettier in real life.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What kind of dog is he?
He’s mostly great dane, mixed with something else – most people think there’s some pit in there, but others say boxer. He’s built like a dane, with jowls, but he’s got a blocky head.
Why are you getting rid of him?
Because of a breakup. Also, I’m in school and I don’t have the resources to take care of him.
Is he fixed?
Nope. He’s unfixed and he needs his shots (see above.)
Is he aggressive?
No. The only time he was ever aggressive is when another male dog came around the female that Buddy shares the yard with. He’s never been aggressive with people. He’s got the personality of a big, lolloping, goofy puppy.
Is he good with kids?
He grew up playing with a gaggle of 7- and 8-year old kids.
Does he bark a lot?
Not particularly. He barks when a person or animal walks by the fence, but not other than that. When an ambulance passes by the house, he does howl along with the siren, but that’s just adorable.
How old is he?
I’m not sure. The ex kept track of all that stuff. Somewhere between 1.5 and 2 years old.
What’s the bottom line?
He’s a great dog and he needs a family that will love him and take care of him. You’ll have to put in a little to get him fixed and catch up his shots, but you’ll get a big, loving dog in return.
What’s that e-mail again?
Should I send this information to anyone and everyone I know who might possibly be interested?
Yes. Yes, you should.
